Now that the chair is assembled, we like it very much--sturdy, comfortable. However, the paper instructions that were included in the box were woefully inadequate--and the video was not accurate in many places. It took both of us to assemble this chair (and we are good with directions and tools), and we had to bring in an armload of our own tools to make it work. Too bad--the chair itself is great. Upgrade your instructions and video, and I'd give it that 5 stars.

The HOMREST Outdoor Recliner Chair comes in several pieces requiring end-user assembly. While I have assembled many different pieces of furniture, I found the instructions for this chair to be lacking. The diagrams are not clear, and the part numbers are not always correct. The instructions also list the number of pieces to be used, which again are not always correct. Once I deciphered the instructions, I found the chair worked well and was comfortable. Better instructions would result in a five star review.

So the positives of this chair are pretty great. It sits up a little straight when not reclined, but in a comfortable manner. No more upright than any other lawn chair, but I kind of expected it to sag. The recliner feature is really smooth. It is a hydraulic arm, so you have to pull the lever to recline and incline. But it also means you can recline at whatever angle you want.The construction of the components is very high-quality. The metals are solid and the wicker feels very nice.
